Lifestyle: Celebrating July 4th

Being a Made in USA company, July 4th is an extra special day for us at OLE MASON JAR as it is a day that brings the entire country together to share in  all things that are patriotic. We love seeing the countless social media posts and #usa hashtags, American flags flying and of course the fireworks! It is a rare occasion that this country can put aside it's many differences, and become united as one (with the USA women's soccer team going for gold in the world cup, we hope the united front can extend even further UPDATE: They won in spectacular fashion!!! ). All that being said, we wanted to take a step back and reflect on what really makes this day so special.

Independence Day marks the nation’s founding and the July 4, 1776, signing of the Declaration of Independence: a letter announcing the separation of the Thirteen Colonies from Great Britain. While it is so much fun to celebrate, the day is really about remembering the great risks our founders took to free the colonies from King George the Third’s harsh rule. Without their courage and determination to stand up for what was right, this great country that gives anyone the opportunity to make something of themselves and live the "American dream" (like say...starting a men's clothing company) would not exist today.

So in the true spirit of Independence Day, we hope everyone had a great day celebrating with family and friends!

(A little sparkler action on July 4th...wearing the Patriot Plaid of course)

(Trying our best to draw a mason jar with sparklers)
