Lifestyle: American Made Truly Does Matters
This month was a very important milestone for OLE MASON JAR, as we were inducted as the newest member of American Made Matters, an organization made up of 250 of the top manufacturers and brands made right here in the U.S.A.
Being a clothing company in North Carolina, it is a little surreal to think that some 30 years ago the landscape was completely different. What was once one of the largest textile producing states in America is now only a distant memory of abandoned factories and mills. Growing up so close to this and seeing the distant memory fade even further, I have had various thoughts and feelings about the textile industry over the years. The local heritage in me is angry and saddened that textiles have moved on, but as a businessman I have to admit a part of me understands why. It is this very conflict that has helped shape and drive our goals at OLE MASON JAR, inspiring us to take action and influence change.
Being inducted as a member of American Made Matters is bigger than us as clothing company, its the validation of an idea being realized and one step closer to bringing textiles back to North Carolina. We think change is coming, and we are honored and privileged to help carry the torch!
Stay tuned for our upcoming release of our made in North Carolina collection!
Best,
BR
